Our women’s cuts start out with the technician assessing the client’s lifestyle, facial shape, height, weight, texture and density of hair, and personal style. After this process, technician’s begin designing the perfect cut. On the technical end of the cut the technique that is used provides a natural line when that follows the shape of the head, everything is blended and connects together. From an aesthetic perspective you never see lines in a hair cut, there is no stacking or stepped layers, it is a very feminine natural design. Hair is never cut against a cowlick or natural direction, the design goes with any imperfections of the head so the client will be able to reproduce the look at home. |
Women’s Cut |
Our all over color follows a simple rule. Never go too far from the client’s natural color. Besides causing damage, it is very high maintenance and usually unnatural looking. Our color should look “better than natural”. Highlighting, or balyage is when the technician actually paints the highlights on the hair. This prevents a harsh exact line as hair grows out. It also allows the highlights to be strategically placed to accent the haircut and any facial features that should be brought out(eyes, cheekbones, jaw line). This technique also prevents damage. There is no overlapping of color or bands that can appear from other highlighting techniques. |
Color and Highlighting |
Men’s cuts are executed the same as women’s. The face and head shape is looked at first, then the texture and volume of hair is considered before a cut ever occurs. The men’s stylist uses a mix of the 90 degree cutting technique above, and straight razor finishing achieving a polished or texturized look depending on the style of the client. The men’s stylist also does straight razor face shaves according to the skin type of the client. |
